I'm all about the white on white on white. Even in colder weather, I love the crisp look of mixing ivory hues with light eyelets. But, there's something effortlessly chic when it comes to black. A dark look can sometimes blend into the background, framing a wall flower into invisible. On the other hand, a cut-out detail + a one-shouldered accent = a styled black on black look that's noticeable. Finding black pieces with textures, shape, embellishments, or unique angles makes for a styled look, not a bland look. I adore the double straps on this one-shouldered top, easily thrown with a pair of black jeans or this cut-out skirt. By adding a couple statement accessories to the sculptured accents, this all-black look isn't blah. Hint: Not all black is slimming, fit is key. Find what works for you.
