I had the privilege of spending an afternoon with photographer Hannah Gentiles and blogger Cara Jackson of Work and Play inside Savant Vintage, and I'm so excited to finally share! One of my first ever Local Focus features was at Savant Vintage (see here), and I loved having the chance to return with Cara to photograph a couple looks for the fall/winter season. This year's trend reports are showcasing extra-long coats and yummy fuzzy accents, with a special emphasis on fur patchwork and colorful updates to winter classics. Savant Vintage has never fallen short on a selection of cozy furs, and I immediately grabbed this knee-length patchwork vest after walking in the door. Cara's coat falls right into place for winter 2014 with a longer hem and over-sized shape, complete with chunky knit fabric. Be sure to stop by Savant Vintage in the 12 South neighborhood and buy yourself something furry.
Cara is an inspiring, ultra-stylish individual and was named as one of nFocus 2014 Model Behavior's 10 incredible women of Nashville for her work with the Nashville Opera. Her blog, Work and Play, is a beautiful representation of her lighthearted demeanor, killer sense of style, and appreciation for quality design. I'd never worked with her photographer, Hannah Gentiles, and I'm so glad I finally got the chance! Such talent, and Hannah truly has an eye for the moments in-between. We had so much fun, and I can't wait to share the other look.
