#WhyNFW 2015: Fashion Forward Gala

What a week!  Looking back, this year's Nashville Fashion Week was the best to date. The credit must be given to all of the dedicated staff, designers, retailers, volunteers, photographers, videographers, models, hair & makeup artists, event planners, writers, bloggers, stylists, directors and producers who made last week possible. Thank you to everyone I partnered with who made each night so very special. I'm so humbled by all the readers and followers who I had the chance to meet. Thank you so much for your support. I've got heart eyes for you, Nashville! Heart eyes!

Take a peek at the look I wore for NFW's final evening at The Rosewall for the Fashion Forward Gala. John and I snuck into the space before it was completely set up and snapped a few shots, so these photos don't share the fantastic makeup by Caitlin Eve. But, I'll be sharing a before & after of my full face on social media later this week. Caitlin is such a beacon of light and extremely talented at her craft. She was also the key makeup artist for Friday night's runway show at Bicentennial Mall. Thank you so much, pretty girl! I loved wearing this simple gown from the sweet people of Naked Wardrobe, complete with accessories from Elaine Turner. I'll share a recap of my favorite NFW moments later this week. Stay tuned!

#WhyNFW 2015: Ready-To-Wear Runway Showcase

This week just keeps getting better and better! What a joy to speak with Fern Mallis last night. We're so lucky to have her attention in Nashville for the second year in a row! You know tonight's Nashville Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear Runway Showcase is going to be huge, and I can't wait to see everyone's beautiful faces. How did this week go by so fast?

The fourth night of Nashville Fashion Week will be at the Bicentennial Mall Amphitheater. Designers will include Michael Magnone of Circle of Gentleman, Lagi Nadeau, Megan Huntz, Alfredo Bove of Religion, and Vanderbilt graduate Timo Weiland. I am absolutely over the moon about tonight. I'll be wearing this black rhinestone duster from one of my favorite legendary designers...Manuel. It's such an honor to represent him and his remarkable career for the final night of runway shows for 2015's Nashville Fashion Week. It's definitely one of the high points in my career, and I'm so thankful for Manuel and his team's generosity and support over the years. Click here to see my Local Focus with him, my sister, and Denise Roxen. I topped off this look with simple black accessories from Elaine Turner and sexy fringe sandals by Steve Madden from long-time sponsor, LuLu*s.

#WhyNFW 2015: Design + Fashion

My favorite part of Nashville Fashion Week is meeting all of you! I've given giant hugs to complete strangers and been completely touched by some of your stories about posts that have inspired you. This is why I'm still here! You. Thank you for the overwhelming support, and if we haven't met yet, please come say hello! I love meeting each and every one of you.

The third night of Nashville Fashion Week is hosted by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. This event celebrates where design meets interiors, art and fashion and will feature select works from Herb WilliamsCall of Couture crayon sculpture series and handbag designer Ceri Hoover, recipient of the 2014 Nashville Fashion Forward Fund award. A silent auction will feature a MG + BW shopping spree, Herb Williams art and more to benefit the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund.

Tonight, I'm so excited to be wearing this sleek BCBG number from one of my favorite local retailers, Stacey Rhodes Boutique. Again, I'll also be rocking accessories by the amazing Elaine Turner. I can't wait to see everyone tonight for Design + Fashion!

#WhyNFW 2015: Nashville Designer Showcase

Today is the first day of the fifth annual Nashville Fashion Week! The opening event is a Nashville Designer Showcase at Acme Feed & Seed. Sponsored by YP Nashville, seven local designers will present their collections: Valentine Valentine, Eric Adler Clothing, Black by Maria Silver, Pink Elephant designs, Ona Rex, Ola Mai, and Van Hoang Designs.

Tonight, I'm proud to be wearing my custom corset by another local designer: ani & ari. If you follow along, you'll remember my Local Focus with these two talented ladies, and it's completely fitting to showcase their work alongside other local talent in our growing community. I'm also really excited to be rocking this minimalist pewter clutch by Elaine Turner. I can't wait to see everyone tonight!
