Just like the good little blogger that I am, I fell completely in love with this season's Stuart Weitzman Highland Over the Knee Boots and the Joie Jemina Boots. And just like most females, I scoffed at the price tag. So, I set out to search for the perfectly affordable over the knee boots with a few necessary features: a heel height within reason, black suede fabric, a tailored fit, and a subtle tie-back or elastic hem to reduce the unflattering flapping that can sometimes happen with a less expensive OTK style. I found my perfect fit with the Catherine Malandrino version at Nordstrom Rack. Currently, they're sold out, but I'd also recommend the Carlos by Carlos Santana Galileo Boots or the Sam Edelman Amber Boots. Where did you find your perfect over the knee boots?
Miriam Designs has one of the most touching stories I've heard from a local start-up in a long time. Owner Gracie Moakler met a recovering addict named Ronza in the grocery store. Inspired by her story, Gracie immediately stamped "hope" onto a hammered copper necklace and gave it to her. Little did she realize this one act of kindness would be the beginning of something remarkable. As the company grows, these Nashvillian women find redemption and further recovery making jewelry for Miriam Designs, utilizing skills taught by Gracie. I feel very blessed to wear one of their creations, the adorable Anika Necklace. Thank you so much. Handmade & Hope-filled Goods.
